The Official Gazette published in its issue No. 23 (continued), the decision of the Prime Minister No. 20 of 2021 on June 10, 2021, authorizing the issuance of commemorative silver coins of the 100 pound denomination on the occasion of the event of the transfer of the royal mummies.

The decree stipulated: «The Minister of Finance is authorized to issue a commemorative silver coin of 100 Egyptian pounds, fineness 720, to mark the occasion of the transfer of the royal mummies,» setting the price of each coin within Egypt at 640 Egyptian pounds. The decree also specified the minting of 2,000 silver coins. It is worth noting that the coin was designed by Marwa Fathi Abdel Hamid.

Coins were also issued in denominations of one pound and 50 piasters to commemorate the procession transferring the royal mummies to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Dr. Sherif Hazem, advisor to the Minister of Finance, explained in a statement that these coins bear the logo of this magnificent celebration in both Arabic and English to document this historic event.
