Developing the Egyptian countryside

The Public Treasury and Mint Authority, affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, stated that 10 million pieces of the one pound denomination and 5 million pieces of the «fifty piaster» denomination will be issued bearing the «Decent Life» logo, in appreciation of the efforts made by the state in the «Development of Egyptian Countryside Villages» project, with the aim of radically changing the reality of rural villages and their dependencies of hamlets, villages and hamlets in all aspects of infrastructure and services.

This comes within the framework of documenting national projects in Egypt recently. The Mint Authority previously designed commemorative coins in the denominations of one pound and 50 piasters to document the achievements, which included 16 designs that include the following projects: (the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein City, the National Road Network, power generation stations, the Zohr gas field, the new Assiut Barrages, the solar farms in Aswan, the New Suez Canal, the National Housing Project, the National Fish Farming Project, the Galala Plateau, the technology incubators, the logistics center for storing and trading grains, and the economic zone of the Golden Triangle project).
