World Environment Day
Every year on the fifth of June, the world celebrates World Environment Day. Celebrations of this day began in 1972. The world uses this day to spread environmental awareness, clarify the dangers surrounding the environment, and guide people towards taking all necessary measures to preserve the environment and make it a healthy and safe environment. Every year, one country in the world takes on the responsibility of holding the celebration and uses it to advise and warn against the dangers of environmental neglect and its impact on the individual and society. .
*** Therefore, the Egyptian Post Office issued a commemorative card for Environment Day, showcasing some of the elements of Egypt's unique biodiversity, namely a collection of the most prominent aromatic and medicinal flowers: jasmine, rose, carnation, basil, and chamomile. ***
Design philosophy
The card takes the form of a horizontal design, with a white background that symbolizes the purity of the desired environment. The design is centered around five types of aromatic and medicinal flowers, harmoniously arranged in a continuous pattern in terms of the diversity of colors and shapes. These flowers are part of a large collection of flowers that were painted on the walls of temples of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
