Algerian Arab Salon
The first Arab salon for collectors of postage stamps, coins, and works of art
The municipal library in Ain Touta, in the Batna region of eastern Algeria, hosted the first Arab Salon for collectors of postage stamps, coins and antiques on February 24-27, 2023. This event was organized by the Belkacem Ain Touta Cultural Association, and it came within the framework of the celebrations commemorating the anniversary of Algeria’s independence and Youth Day.

This salon was special because it brought together talented Algerian collectors and was attended by people from other Arab countries, such as Tunisia, Mauritania, Oman, and Palestine. Topics discussed included water conservation and stamp removal. There were also special programs for children, introducing them to the hobby of stamp collecting.

The exhibition opened on Friday, February 24th. Delegations were received on the first day and the exhibition preparations were coordinated. On the second day, February 25th, the exhibition was inaugurated by the local authorities, and at 10:00 AM on the same day, the official opening of the exhibition was announced, followed by a workshop for children.
The exhibition continued for the third consecutive day, and on the fourth day, February 27th, a sightseeing trip was organized for the participants, then it concluded. The Arab Salon Certificates were distributed to the participants.
