The fourth edition of the Jeddah International Currency Exhibition

The fourth edition of the Jeddah International Coin Exhibition, organized by the Saudi Coin Collectors Association, was launched on January 25, 2023, under the title and slogan ” The history of the Al Saud kings as seen through Saudi currency”Which continued until January 30, 2023 AD, corresponding to 3 to 8 Rajab 1444 AH.”.
The exhibition lasted for 6 days and was held at Al-Serafi Mega Mall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the attendance of more than 200 enthusiasts from all over Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries, and with the presence of Coins Art, the agent for World Cup products in Qatar. They displayed the rarest coins and banknotes to meet the needs of the enthusiast, as many enthusiasts stood out by displaying rare coins and historical coins from all eras, up to the Saudi era, which was met with interest from those interested and visitors who viewed those exhibits.
The exhibition consisted of 25 booths, each measuring 2x2 meters, and included a glass display table, side and back shelves, and a sign with the participant's name. It was expected that more than 20,000 visitors would attend the exhibition, which is considered one of the most important exhibitions in the Arab world.




The exhibition was opened on Wednesday, January 25, at 5 pm, under the patronage of Engineer Anas Sirafi. Visitors were briefed on the participants’ explanations and took commemorative photos with them. The first day of the exhibition included an evening and a ceremony to honor coin enthusiasts from the Kingdom who have made outstanding contributions in the field of coins.




On the second day of the exhibition, His Excellency the Consul of the Republic of Iraq and Permanent Representative of Iraq to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Muhammad Samir Al-Naqshbandi, honored the exhibition with a visit and was keen to meet with members of the Saudi Society of Numismatic Collectors and Arab collectors participating in the events.




On the fourth day of the exhibition, the Saudi Society for Numismatic Collectors held a coin auction event in which a distinguished collection of coins was displayed for sale.



At the conclusion of the exhibition, certificates of attendance and prizes were distributed to the participants.

History of the Jeddah International Currency Exhibition
The Jeddah International Currency Exhibition began its presence on the scene with its first edition on the 14th of Rabi’ al-Thani of 1441 AH, corresponding to December 11, 2019 AD, for a period of 4 days at Al-Yasmin Mall in Jeddah.
As for the second edition, it was held on the 7th of Jumada II, 1442 AH, corresponding to January 20, 2021 AD, for a period of 6 days, and it was held in Al Yasmin Mall in Jeddah.
The third edition was held on the 9th of Jumada al-Akhirah, 1443 AH, corresponding to January 12, 2022 AD, for a period of 6 days, and was held at Al-Serafi Mega Mall in Jeddah.
Saudi Society for Numismatic Collectors
Saudi Society for Numismatic Collectors It is an official association under the umbrella of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, pursuant to a decision by the Minister of Labor and Social Development, and its headquarters are in Mecca. The association was opened on 4/29/1440 AH, and some of the association's objectives are:
- Opening up membership in the association and attracting enthusiasts from all regions of the Kingdom, as well as the Gulf countries and Arab and Islamic countries.
- Developing and promoting the hobby of coin collecting.
- Specialized courses were held for coin enthusiasts.
- Holding professional auctions every six months, similar to international auctions.
- Holding exhibitions to introduce paper currencies and Islamic coins.
