The Jordan Post Company has published a special book on stamps entitled “Centenary of Jordanian Stamp History” to commemorate the centenary of the founding of the Jordanian state. The book contains stamps from the reigns of the late King Abdullah and King Abdullah II, and is a valuable resource for historians and stamp collectors.

The book, "Centenary of Jordanian Stamp History," includes a comprehensive narrative and explanation, accompanied by photographs, of the stamp issues used by the Jordanian Post Office at the beginning of the establishment of the Emirate of Transjordan. It also covers subsequent issues issued by the Jordanian Post Office, starting with the first set of stamps issued during the reign of the late King Abdullah I, the founder of the Kingdom, which bore his image, and continuing through those issued during the reign of the late King Hussein bin Talal, may God have mercy on him, as well as the issues issued at the beginning of the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II. The book, "Centenary of the History of Jordanian Stamps," consists of three chapters:
Chapter One It includes eight parts, which are:
1- Picture of the first post office building
2- A word from the former Director General of the Jordanian Post Office.
3- The first postman
4- A narrative of historical information related to the stamp service and other postal services, including an introduction to the stamp industry, its historical importance and its development over the years, as well as a narrative of the most important services provided by the Jordanian Post.
5- Examples of watermark patterns used in stamps.
6- A brief history of the founding of the Kingdom and the events that accompanied this founding, and its development over the past decades
7- The historical sequence of Jordanian stamps, including a narrative of the most important correspondences used before and during the Ottoman period, followed by the period of the Syrian Arab Kingdom, up to the beginning of the issuance of Jordanian stamps.

Chapter Two It includes twenty-two parts, covering the stamps used before the establishment of the Emirate of Transjordan, during the period preceding 1918, up to the beginning of issuing Jordanian stamps, and ending with the year 2021, explained with descriptions and pictures.
Chapter Three It includes seven parts that include a comprehensive explanation of the history of using first-day covers for issues, illustrated with pictures and designs of the covers, and sealed with their own special seals from the beginning of the independence of the Kingdom of Jordan on 5/25/1946 until 2021.
It is worth mentioning that Professor Randa Obeidat – Head of the Stamp Department at the Jordanian Post Office – completed the task of researching, archiving and following up on the Jordanian stamp issues from the first stamp in 1921 until 100 years later.
Those interested in obtaining this book can visit the Philatelic Department at the Post Office headquarters located in the Al-Muqabaleen area. The price of one copy of the book has been set at 70 Jordanian dinars or the equivalent of 100 US dollars.
