The Central Bank issues a new commemorative silver coin to mark the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Sultan's Armed Forces Museum.

In conjunction with the Blessed Renaissance Day, and in cooperation with the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, the Central Bank of Oman is pleased to issue a commemorative silver coin on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the opening of the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum.

This commemorative coin is legal tender at its face value and can be purchased from the Central Bank of Oman. The table below details the coin's distinguishing features, specifications, and selling price; however, this price is subject to change based on fluctuations in global silver prices..

The official launch of the currency will take place at the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum on July 25, 2019, and it will be available for sale from the Central Bank of Oman starting on Sunday, July 28, 2019.

The Sultanate’s emblem (the dagger), the name of the Sultanate of Oman, the name of the Central Bank of Oman, and the denomination in both Arabic and English.

The back of the coin :

This coin bears a colored image of the Sultan's Armed Forces Museum building, in addition to the logo of the Sultan's Armed Forces General Staff.
