Modern Coins

Americans say, "If it sounds like a dream, it probably is."“

Recently, numerous advertisements for counterfeit coins have appeared on Facebook… including, for example, Australian kangaroo gold ounces, silver Morgan dollars, and even unique pieces like those sculpted by the Russian artist Roman Butin. These are all being sold through fake websites, and the strange thing is that gold, silver, and coins of all sizes are being sold at a uniform price of around 20$ (US dollars)! These ads are unlikely to fool experienced coin collectors, but they are primarily aimed at enticing those not well-versed in acquiring rare items at a bargain price. I even came across someone who attributed the low price to the fluctuating price of gold and its variations from country to country, implying that it's quite possible for an unknown website like this to sell quantities of gold ounces for only 20$!

I strongly suspect this person is either complicit or a fool hoping for a quick and effortless fortune. Most likely, their credit card balance will be completely drained within hours. Of course, if you try to warn others through a comment, it will be quickly deleted. Be careful and warn your relatives and friends not to deal with these ads (unless, of course, they are from reputable auction houses like Spink or Baldwin, etc.). Another striking phenomenon is that these advertisers usually use pictures of genuine items, but the items sold and delivered to you are counterfeit. Check the attached images and note the number of shares and comments.
