Which do you prefer?

The Yemeni image of the coin was photographed using the technique employed by the renowned American auction house Heritage. This technique relies on a highly even distribution of light to accurately reveal even the finest details, scratches, and imperfections of the coin before purchase. It is a more complex method, requiring additional equipment to achieve this level of detail. However, one drawback is that the coin may appear excessively flat.

The left image is of the same coin, but it follows the photography style of the global grading company PCGS. Its philosophy is based on showing the beauty of the piece by using shadows to illustrate the depth and strength of the minting. In general, the piece looks more attractive in this way, but it may hide some light scratches if they are in the shadow area.
