Postage stamp commemorating Muslim holidays 2023
Issued Canadian Post Postage stamps commemorate the Muslim holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, which are celebrated by more than one million Muslims in Canada.

Holiday postage stamp
The hand-painted ceramic bowl featured on this year's holiday stamp from Canada Post was made in medieval Iran during Ramadan and was most likely used to serve dates, soups, and other foods each night during Iftar meals.
Part of the collection held by the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), the vessel is inscribed inside with a Persian poem. The vessel has a special connection to Eid al-Fitr. The phrase “Eid Mubarak,” a traditional Arabic greeting for the holiday, is written in Arabic script above the vessel.
The front of the booklet shows pictures of the inside of the vessel. The inside of the booklet contains a translation of one of the lines from the poem inscribed inside the vessel, “I hope you enjoy what you eat from this bowl..”

Ramadan and Muslim holidays
Muslims in Canada and around the world fast from dawn until sunset during Ramadan – one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar. This ritual fast is an act of worship, a form of self-purification and spiritual growth, and one of the most distinctive practices in Islam.
Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, marks the end of the Hajj, during which millions of Muslims travel to one of the holiest places in Islam – the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The holidays embody central Islamic practices and values, including compassion, sacrifice for those in need, appreciation of the community and the greater humanity, and are expressed through prayers and communal feasts, gift-giving, and acts of charity.

It is worth noting that a number of Western countries have begun to spread the culture of documenting Islamic culture, such as the New Zealand Post Office, which issued [a document/certificate/etc.] last Hijri year. A commemorative card for the holidays of 1443 AH.
