1924 – Subject: Design of the (new) half-millime coin for His Majesty King Fuad I

Sir, with reference to the half millieme coin that will be issued by the Mint in Birmingham at the request of the Egyptian government, I would like to inform you that the minting dies are being prepared now.

Accordingly, enclosed is a general design plan for these pieces, along with a model of the die cast on red wax. We kindly request that you examine the wax model and inform us if it meets the required specifications. We also request that these models be returned to us.
