A commemorative coin to honor Hazza Al Mansouri

The Central Bank of the UAE issued a commemorative silver coin on Sunday to honor the nation's first astronaut. The 40-gram coin celebrates Hazzaa Al Mansouri's historic journey to space and his time aboard the International Space Station last September. Featuring Al Mansouri's image, the coin is inscribed with "UAE Mission 1" and "25/9/2019"—the name of the UAE space mission and the date of his launch. The commemorative coin is available for purchase for AED 300 at the bank's headquarters and branches across the UAE.
