A coin commemorating the centenary of Jordan
Quoted from tomorrow
The government announced on Saturday the launch of a new special coin bearing the centennial logo to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Jordanian state, in celebration of this cherished national occasion.
This was stated by Minister of Culture Basem Al-Tuwaisi, during the launch of the state's centennial implementation plan today.
According to Al-Tuwaisi, the new coin will be symbolic and commemorative, and will not be circulated among the people, but rather a commemorative issue that carries connotations indicating the symbolism of the occasion.
According to the government, the first side of the coins to be issued will bear the centennial logo, while the other side will be engraved with the phrase “Land of Resolve”.
The new coins will be issued in two models, one made of silver and the other of bronze.
