Bahrain Post announcedMinistry of Transport and Communications In cooperation with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, a set of 8 commemorative stamps and a cover for the first day issue has been issued, available at the Philatelic Services Office at the Postal Museum in the Bab Al Bahrain area, and all other postal branches.
This edition comes in celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation in 2001 AD, by a high royal order from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him. In 2007 AD, a second royal order was issued by His Majesty the great King to reorganize the structure of the Foundation, with His Majesty as its honorary president, and the appointment of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

It is noted that the foundation has a global vision in charitable and humanitarian work and is a pioneer in it. Its mission is that, through generous royal patronage and outstanding performance, it seeks to carry out charitable, benevolent, and philanthropic work and to advance the humanitarian, social, and economic role, which in turn benefits citizens and society as a whole and contributes to developing the spirit of community solidarity, to advance humanitarian work and provide all forms of support to needy groups in the Kingdom.
To celebrate this occasion, Bahrain Post issued a set of commemorative stamps, available in a 500 fils denomination and a first-day cover with eight stamps bearing a commemorative seal, priced at 5 dinars and available at all Bahrain Post branches.
