New postage stamp for Oman

Oman Post, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a new postage stamp to highlight the strong relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Republic of China. The event was attended by His Excellency Mohammed bin Nasser Al Wahaibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Financial Affairs; His Excellency Ali bin Khalfan Al Jabri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information for Media Affairs; Her Excellency Li Lingbing, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China; and Abdulmalik Al Balushi, CEO of Oman Post.
The stamp commemorates 40 years of formal diplomatic relations between the two countries, featuring the Great Wall of China, one of China's most famous historical landmarks, and an Omani fort, while also documenting Sinbad's historic voyage from the port of Sohar to the Chinese city of Guangzhou. Stamp collectors and enthusiasts of culture and history can now enjoy this special edition, which includes 500 first-day covers and 3,000 commemorative plates.
