Emirates Post issues commemorative stamps to document the “Hope Probe” project”
Emirates Post, in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre and the UAE Space Agency, issued on Tuesday distinctive commemorative stamps to document the Emirates Mars Mission (Hope Probe), the first Arab project to explore other planets.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the commemorative stamps feature four different designs, two of which bear images of the probe's design, while the other two designs commemorate the historic moment of its launch into space.
Emirates Post is issuing 100,000 stamps and 1,000 envelopes for the first day of issue, which will be available for sale starting Tuesday, October 20, at Emirates Post's main customer happiness centers and the Emirates Post online store.
The UAE announced this month that the distance traveled since the launch of the Hope Probe has reached approximately 215.525 million kilometers.
Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, the UAE Minister of Advanced Technology and leader of the science team for the Emirates Mars Mission “Hope Probe”, confirmed last month that the “Hope Probe” project and all other technological projects in the country are laying the foundation for the post-oil era.
