On January 23, 2021, the Tunisian Post Office will issue a postage stamp to commemorate the declaration of January 23 as a national day for the abolition of slavery and servitude in Tunisia, as well as the registration of the Tunisian experience in the memory of the world by the United Nations organization UNESCO, as the first Arab country to abolish slavery and the slave trade by Ahmed Bey I on January 23, 1846.
