The American company BMG announced the results of its banknote collections competition, which is documented in its records worldwide, in January 2024. The results showed that a number of Arab collectors and Arab collections in general achieved honorable results and superior positions worldwide, including the award for the best banknote collection at the level of global currency collections.

The competition is organized annually by PMG in four categories: Best US Banknote Collection, Best International Banknote Collection, Best Presented Collection, and Best Overall Collective Performance Award.

Dr. Sherif Tayel's collection from Egypt outperformed all other global banknote collections registered with the American company PMG this year after winning an award.
