40 years since the establishment of the Pan African Postal Union
The Egyptian Post Office issues a commemorative postage stamp to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Pan African Postal Union.
Essam El-Sagheer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Post, Bashar Hussein, Director General of the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union, Younes Jabrin, Secretary General of the Pan African Postal Union, and Engineer Isaac Kamwele, Minister of Works, Transport and Communications of the Tanzanian Government, launched a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Pan African Postal Union.
Essam El-Sagheer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Post, said that the African Postal Union is of great importance to postal work in Africa, as it was established with the aim of developing and improving postal services in the African continent and to be a platform for communication between all postal institutions in African countries. Therefore, the Egyptian Post took the initiative to design a commemorative postage stamp that was specially designed to document the celebration of 40 years since the establishment of the African Postal Union.
