The National Postal Authority issued a commemorative postage stamp to mark Egypt’s hosting of the 2021 Men’s Handball World Championship.
Dr. Sherif Farouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority, stated that Egypt’s organization of the Men’s Handball World Championship is a historic event that inspires pride and an international testament to Egypt’s leadership, security, and the world’s confidence in its ability to organize the championship and present it in the best possible way, despite the exceptional circumstances that the countries of the world are going through.
Dr. Sherif Farouk explained that the Egyptian Post Office issued a commemorative postage stamp on this occasion to document this important event, noting that the main idea of the stamp's design includes the tournament logo and the Egyptian flag in the background to express Egypt's organization of the tournament, a collection of different pictures of the players during scoring, in addition to a player in the shape of a circle in red that includes all the players inside it.
Dr. Sherif Farouk added that the Egyptian Post Office is always keen to issue commemorative stamps on important occasions and events to commemorate those important events in the history of the nation.
It is worth noting that the stamp size (4 cm X 5 cm) is a multi-color offset stamp and its value is 5 pounds.
