World Civil Defence Day stamp
The Syrian Postal Corporation issued a commemorative postage stamp to mark World Civil Defence Day, which coincides with 1 March of each year in recognition of the efforts made by civil defense agencies to maintain the security and safety of communities.
The goals for today are as follows:
Reminding everyone of the importance of the topic of disaster prevention in all its forms.
Reminding you of the essential role played by civil protection agencies and departments (civil defense) in the world.
Notifying civil protection agencies in various countries around the world of the importance of cooperation and solidarity in carrying out their mission.
Utilize various media outlets to convey safety and protection guidelines and instructions to all citizens.
Reminding all countries of their duty to effectively support the tasks and duties of the organization, which include disseminating, encouraging, developing and improving civil protection globally against all kinds of risks.
The stamp has a modern design and carries a value of (350) Syrian pounds.
At the top right, World Civil Defence Day is written in English, and below it is the date of the day in both Arabic and English (March 1). On the left is the word Syria, and directly below it is Syria.
At the bottom of the stamp, the issue date 2020 and the value 350 lira were added, and next to it, the phrase "World Civil Defense Day" was written.
The design in the middle featured a picture of a civil defense man appearing from behind, wearing his uniform, holding a fire hose in his hands, and wearing a yellow safety helmet on his head.
As for the background, it contains blue and orange triangles bordered by a gray background.
