The Central Bank is introducing new denominations of 100 and 200 Egyptian pounds.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 6/A of the Central Bank of Sudan Act of 2002 and its subsequent amendments, and based on the powers, competencies and responsibilities of the Central Bank of Sudan in protecting the national currency, achieving the stability of its exchange rate and assisting in achieving economic stability, the Central Bank of Sudan hereby announces to the public that it has introduced new denominations of two hundred and one hundred pounds banknotes with the following specifications, colors and security features:

1. Clear security features and markings for the new 200-pound note

The new 100-pound note has the following specifications and security features:

  • Paper content: Tourism.
  • The leaf's base color is a gradient green.
  • Watermark: CBOS and the number 200
  • The interface includes images of landscapes (Jebel Marra waterfall) and birds
  • The number 200 is at the top left and bottom right.
  • The rough texture of the paper (Central Bank of Sudan) and (two hundred Sudanese pounds)
  • CBOS color-changing image
  • Identical isotopes (seashell)
  • Blind person's symbol on the right and left of the paper
  • The serial number of the paper is located on the upper right and lower left.
  • A picture of a bird on the right side of the page, with ink that changes color when the page is tilted.
  • The background of the paper includes an image of fish and coral reefs.

2. Clear security features and markings of the new 100-pound note

The new 100-pound note has the following specifications and security features:

  • The content of the paper: Civilizational construction.
  • The base color of the paper is brown.
  • Watermark: Secretary bird and the number 100
  • The facade includes an image of the pyramids of Meroe.
  • The number 100 is at the top left and bottom right.
  • The rough texture of the paper features an image of the pyramids and the phrases "(Central Bank of Sudan)" and "(One Hundred Sudanese Pounds)".
  • The serial number of the paper is located on the upper right and lower left.
  • Identical isotopes (Gate of the Pyramids of Begrawiya)
  • The image of the pyramid on the right side of the page is in ink that changes color when the page is tilted.
  • A movable security strip.
  • The background of the paper includes an image of the Merowe, Roseires, and Upper Atbara and Setit dams.
