Commemorative stamps of the Houbara bustard and the curlew
It was published by Emirates Post in cooperation with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center.
Emirates Post, in cooperation with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, has issued a set of commemorative stamps bearing images of the Houbara bustard and the curlew, as part of its support for initiatives to preserve environmental life and its importance in national heritage.
This came during the launch ceremony held at the headquarters of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center in the Jumeirah area of Dubai, in the presence of Abdullah Mohammed Al Ashram, CEO of Emirates Post Group; Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Center, and a large number of officials from both sides.

Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk stressed the importance of initiatives aimed at reviving and preserving the country’s national heritage, and said: The center cooperates with many local institutions to provide consultations, services and projects related to consolidating local heritage in various ways and with approved systems and principles that express our values and societal customs.
Bin Dalmouk added: We were pleased to cooperate with Emirates Post in issuing this set of commemorative stamps for the «Houbara» and «Curlew» birds, in line with the approach taken by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, and with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to provide everything that contributes to strengthening our national identity and heritage through cooperation with national institutions in the country.
Abdullah Mohammed Al Ashram said: «The issuance of this set of stamps featuring the Houbara Bustard and the Curlew comes as part of ongoing efforts to promote environmental awareness in the UAE and raise public awareness about the importance of preserving wildlife and the environment, given the significance of these birds in Emirati culture and the environment.
