Prefix Report, Issue 13 – December 2022
The Prefix Report is an electronic report that is published periodically (quarterly), and it is a collaborative work between the Egyptian Encyclopedia of Banknotes and the Arab Collector Magazine.
It aims to track the serial numbering (code symbol) of modern Egyptian banknotes known as the prefix.
Coin collection is a common method for collecting banknotes among both collectors and professionals. This report will serve as an important reference for all developments in this field, regardless of the specific banknote. If a banknote with the mentioned coin symbol cannot be found, no further information will be provided, and the report will state "Not seen by publication date." Subsequent reports will be updated as soon as the coin symbol is identified. The numbers in the symbol will be written close together if the symbol code is printed close together, and farther apart if the symbol code is printed far apart.
The code was printed spaced apart to make it easier for the hobbyist to follow.
All required details will be included, such as the issue number, watermark, security thread, and holographic (3D) thread, to clarify any discrepancies that may arise later and to prepare for the comprehensive archive of Egyptian Prefix. Each point will be explained later according to the sequence specified in the journal.
