Greece spared no effort in producing this collection in the most splendid form, as it asked Mr. Mauchamp, the world-renowned French artist who had previously designed coins, stamps, banknotes, and even statues, to produce images depicting ancient Greek athletes and the venues where the matches would take place, so that the collection would later become an attractive advertisement for visiting Greece\u2019s archaeological sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Greek government also decided that the collection would be printed in Britain, which used the best and most modern printing methods in the whole world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
