models<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The models consist of multiple images of both the front and back printers for each denomination of Qatari banknotes that have not been approved for circulation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">Often during the banknote design process, a security printing company contracted by governments will produce multiple prototypes or proposed designs based on the theme provided by the banknote issuing authority. The authority (often the central bank) then selects and approves the designs used for production, circulation, and circulation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">Designs that are not approved are then archived by the printing company and\/or the state and rarely see the light of day or are available for acquisition, often ending up in museums.<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">A collection of Qatari banknote samples fetched an unexpectedly large sum of money from coin collectors at a recent auction in New York.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-right\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%D9%85%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%AA_%D9%82%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A9_%D9%84%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%82_%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%82%D8%AF%D9%8A_%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%B1%D9%8A\"><\/span>Record sales of Qatari banknotes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The eight banknotes sold by the renowned London-based auction house Spink far exceeded their pre-sale estimates, with the pieces fetching sums ranging from \u00a311,500 (\u00a314,216) to \u00a370,000 ($86,527).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The most expensive model of banknote for sale was the 1000 riyal denomination featuring the ruler of Qatar at the time.
