One of the oldest Egyptian coins\u201cNub Nafar<\/a>\u201dThis coin was minted around 350 BC, during the reign of King Nectanebo II of the 33rd Dynasty. On the obverse, you can see Greek influences in the horse's features. On the reverse, you can see two ancient Egyptian symbols that read "Nub-nefer," meaning "pure gold." The mint location is unknown, but it was likely in Memphis. During the reign of Alexander the Great, Egyptians began using money in their daily transactions for the first time in history. Coins at that time featured Alexander's image, reflecting his deification.<\/p>\n

The coins found so far are made of gold, silver, and bronze. They date back to ancient Egyptian times and feature images of different deities on one side. For example, some coins from 306 BC show the king on one side, while other coins from later periods show the image of the god who protected the king.<\/p>\n

Before Islam, various currencies were used in different parts of the world. Among these was the dinar, which bore inscriptions such as \u201cThere is no god but God, and praise be to God.\u201d The Rashidun Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab approved this currency, maintaining the standard that had been in use during the time of Muhammad (peace be upon him). After him, all Islamic coins were made of silver or gold.<\/p>\n
