decorations, medals, books, weapons, jewelry, carpets, crystal, and precious antiques\u2026 There was also a specialized staff attached to the royal palace to preserve and arrange these collections \u2013 and I was fortunate enough to get to know one of the ladies who worked in preserving the royal stamp collection at the beginning of my passion for hobbies more than 20 years ago \u2013 but if this huge number represents only American coins, how much would all these collections be worth today?!<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-278929 aligncenter\" sold at the famous Qubba Palace auctions in 1954 at very low prices, as the Egyptian government decided to expedite the auction and insist on holding it in Egypt and not in Britain or the United States of America, for fear that these countries would object to the terms of the auction (the State Council had explained to the government that these collections were considered the personal property of King Farouk, and therefore he could have obtained an urgent international ruling to stop the auction until the case was decided - which would have caused great international embarrassment
