This banknote comes to diversify the group of banknotes currently in circulation that have legal tender power throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1108\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/pub-8c6367eeb78947fb9a67f9647334fc7f.r2.dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/20-ouguiya-20-Coin.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-279003\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-right\" id=\"1-%D8%AA%D8%B5%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%85-%D8%AC%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%AF-%D9%88%D8%A3%D9%86%D9%8A%D9%82\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%D8%AA%D8%B5%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%85_%D8%AC%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%AF_%D9%88%D8%A3%D9%86%D9%8A%D9%82\"><\/span>New and elegant design<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The new banknote highlights two symbolic landmarks of Mauritania. On the front of the note is the Grand Mosque of Ka\u00e9di, located in the south of the country, which is considered the oldest mosque in Mauritania, as it was built around 1366 AH and is predominantly in the Sudanese coastal architectural style prevalent in most of the old Islamic cities in the sub-Saharan Africa region.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\"><\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"854\" height=\"434\" src=\"https:\/\/pub-8c6367eeb78947fb9a67f9647334fc7f.r2.dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Mauritania-20-ouguiya-Small.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-279005\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The front of the twenty-ounce banknote<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<p dir=\"rtl\">On the back of the sheet, the geological marvel of Guelb Errich\u00e2t, located in the north of the country, is shown. Like the other banknotes, the new note gains security features such as AURORA\u2122 transparent windows, tactile raised lettering, color-changing ink, and a half-window displaying a crescent and star.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">Canadian Bank Note Company has printed the 20-ouguiya banknote using a polymer security layer with CCL Secure&#039;s GUARDIAN\u2122 technology.
