On Saturday, February 27, 2021, the Algerian Minister of Post, Ibrahim Boumzar, announced the issuance of a postage stamp featuring images of protection against the Coronavirus, in appreciation of the efforts of the White Army in combating the epidemic.<\/p>\r\n

The stamp is divided into two parts, each part being worth 25 dinars. On the right side of the stamp, the phrase \u201dPrevention of Coronavirus - COVID-19\u201d is written in both Arabic and Amazigh. It features a picture of the globe with the lower part covered in the shape of a face mask, and above it, a family inside a house, indicating the times of home quarantine.<\/p>\r\n

The rest of the design explained the steps to take to prevent and protect against the virus, such as washing hands thoroughly, social distancing, using disinfectants, and not shaking hands.<\/p>\r\n

On the other side of the stamp, the phrase \u201dCombating Coronavirus \u2013 COVID-19\u201d was written in both Arabic and Amazigh, and it featured images of the globe and a family bonded together in safety after receiving the vaccine. The rest of the design included a picture of a member of the White Army, in a distinctive gesture from the Algerian government to honor them.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Stamp collectors have been sharing images of the stamp and the sheets produced for it on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
