The circular regarding coins was approved on Wednesday, February 14, 2021.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\"><strong>First \u2013 Gold currency:<\/strong><br \/>A gold coin of the one pound denomination. .<br \/><strong>Chemical composition:<\/strong><br \/>0.875 (eight hundred and seventy-five per thousand) grams of gold. .<br \/>0.025 (twenty-five thousandths) of a gram of silver. Diameter: 24 mm (twenty-four) millimeters. .<br \/><strong>the weight<\/strong> 8 grams (eight grams). .<br \/><strong>number<\/strong> (70) pieces. .<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\"><strong>Second \u2013 Silver currency:<\/strong><br \/>A silver coin of the five-pound denomination. .<br \/><strong>Chemical composition:<\/strong><br \/>0.720 (seven hundred and twenty per thousand) grams of silver. .<br \/>0.280 (two hundred and eighty per thousand) grams of copper. The design is taken from the design of the famous statue of Imhotep in the Louvre Museum, where he is seated reclining on his chair and holding a papyrus scroll, but an Arabic text was added to the design on the base of the statue, adding the engineer&#039;s name in Arabic.\u201c<strong>Imhtab<\/strong>\u201dWith the addition of the date 2780 BC, which is the date of the construction of the Step Pyramid of Djoser.\u201d. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-275414 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/450px-Imhotep-Louvre.jpg\" alt=\"450px-Imhotep-Louvre\" width=\"153\" height=\"204\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">A logo symbolizing Egyptian engineers in the shape of a geometric ruler was also added, and the slogan \u201dEngineering is the art of eternity\u201d was written in Arabic, along with the name of the Egyptian Engineers Association and the date of its founding in 1920.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\"><strong>Back design:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The denomination for both the one-pound and five-pound notes was written in the center, with the Hijri date 1442 on the right and the Gregorian date 2020 on the left. The words &quot;Arab Republic of Egypt&quot; were written in decorative script.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-275412 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/06.jpg.jpg\" alt=\"06.jpg\" width=\"476\" height=\"296\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-275413\" src=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/07.jpg.jpg\" alt=\"07.jpg\" width=\"492\" height=\"296\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\"><strong>The overall design:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">In general, this design offered nothing new compared to the coin issued 25 years ago (1995) to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of the Egyptian Society of Engineers, which featured a very similar design with only the date changed to 2020 and minor modifications to the details of Amenhotep&#039;s image. This raises the question: is this a lack of innovative designs in Egypt, or is it a demand from the Egyptian Society of Engineers to maintain the existing design?<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-275408\" src=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/2666-original.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"275408\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/2666-original.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/?attachment_id=275408\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-275409\" src=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/2667-original.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"275409\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/2667-original.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/?attachment_id=275409\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<figcaption class=\"blocks-gallery-caption\">Five silver pounds for the Diamond Jubilee of the Egyptian Engineers Association in 1995<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">As for the official selling price set for the public at the sales outlet of the authority within the Arab Republic of Egypt for a single piece of currency:<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">1- A gold piece of the one pound category, priced at 8645 Egyptian pounds (only eight thousand six hundred and forty-five Egyptian pounds). .<br \/>2- A silver coin of the five pound denomination, priced at 375 pounds (only three hundred and seventy-five Egyptian pounds). .<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\"><strong>Egyptian Engineers Association:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The Egyptian Engineers Association was founded with the aim of establishing engineering on scientific and cultural foundations, through engineering, scientific and applied research, organizing seminars in the arts of engineering and publishing magazines and periodicals. The building of the Egyptian Engineers Association on Ramses Street in Cairo was established in 1930. The building consists of two floors in addition to the basement. It was built in stages. The building includes a multi-purpose hall and a library in addition to administrative offices. It is distinguished by preserving the identity and was founded under the name of the Royal Egyptian Engineers Association during the reign of King Fuad I.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">Since its founding, the association has worked towards achieving these goals. Even before its official headquarters were established in Cairo, the association&#039;s meetings and seminars were held at the Egyptian University House, the Egyptian Scientific Institute, the Geographical Society, and other venues. His architectural brilliance led to the creation of the Step Pyramid on the Saqqara plateau, a departure from the earlier stone and wood structures. Imhotep was not only a builder of pyramids and temples, a fact recognized by the priests who were astonished by his genius in many fields. He possessed extensive knowledge in medicine, authoring papyrus scrolls for treatment (see below). He was also skilled in mummification, anatomy, and astronomy. Imhotep invented numerous medicinal drugs and founded a medical school in Memphis, which, after his death, became a center of his worship.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-275417\" src=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Imhotep.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"275417\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Imhotep.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/?attachment_id=275417\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-275419\" src=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Sakkara_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"275419\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Sakkara_01.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/arabcollector.com\/?attachment_id=275419\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"rtl\">It is worth noting that the Egyptian Postal Authority issued stamps of the 4 pound denomination for the centenary of the Egyptian Engineers Association, which show a picture of the historic building of the association.
