The Tunisian Post Office announced in a statement on Monday, February 8, 2021, the issuance of a postage stamp to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the newspaper \u201cAl-Sabah\u201d, which was founded in 1951<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Al-Sabah newspaper is the first independent daily newspaper in Tunisia, founded in 1951. It is a national media institution that has kept pace with the building of the Tunisian state and followed the stages of its modern history through its commitment to national and international issues.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fair one.<\/p>It was founded and managed by Habib Cheikh Rouhou, and later passed to his sons. Before Mohamed Sakher El Materi, owner of Zitouna Radio, acquired a majority stake of 70% in Dar Assabah in March 2009, he became its chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This postage stamp and related products are available for sale starting Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at all post offices. They can also be purchased remotely via the internet by accessing the postal service website.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first issue of Assabah was published on February 1, 1951. It has ceased publication twice since then: first in 1956 due to its owner and founder, Habib Cheikh Rouhou's, support for Salah Ben Youssef against Habib Bourguiba during their conflict; and second in 2000 due to financial difficulties. The newspaper has a daily circulation of between 70,000 and 78,000 copies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
