Today, by chance, I found important information about one of these pieces, which is the \u201cRoyal Tourism Cup\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arabcollector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/89734850_1677711782386850_6480789634560294912_o.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-271968\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">.The manufacture of this magnificent cup was completed in February 1950 after the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry announced its need for such a cup and 51 designs were submitted to it. The competent committee met and selected 8 designs that were submitted to the royal thresholds, \u201cone of which received the supreme approval.\u201d After that, the tenders committee met to examine the three bids for making the cup, which were 7,000 Egyptian pounds, 9,000 Egyptian pounds, and 11,000 Egyptian pounds respectively. The committee chose the least expensive one (and it is truly wonderful how much absolute transparency there was at that time, as the matter was presented in all its details to the citizens, and the magazines issued at that time took an interest in it). .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">The bid was awarded to the \u201cYocheron\u201d shop in Paris and its agents in Cairo, the \u201cDialdas\u201d jewelry shop, who made it in just two months and delivered it before the deadline to the Weights and Measures Authority on February 16, 1950.
